Future of the Field
HDC Future of the Field is a proactive planning and implementation process in which HDC members have participated since summer of 2005. HDC identified the need for 155,000 additional affordable housing units in King County by 2015.
HDC’s membership set a stretch goal to double their production by 2015 via increasing efficiencies and creating new subsidy resources. This will achieve about 40,000 of the needed units.
HDC also set a goal to build a broad alliance to support more resources and provide incentives encouraging more for-profit builders to become involved.
