2008 HDC Awards Reception : Salute to Success celebrates the accomplishments of HDC members
On Thursday, June 10th, 2008 HDC held its annual Awards Reception: Salute to Success. This year the event was held at the Columbia City Theater in southeast Seattle where nearly 150 guests celebrated the accomplishments of recognized individuals within HDC membership.
The highlight of the evening was the presenting of the Unsung Hero awards. Motivated by dedication to the cause, Unsung Heroes go above and beyond their obligations in helping their organizations achieve their missions and goals helping their organizations achieve their missions and goals.
Twenty-one nonprofits nominated Unsung Heroes for recognition.
Unsung Heroes included nonprofit staffers, volunteers, board director
and others working closely with the nonprofits. These folks are shining
examples of the diversity of skills and talents that it takes to make
an organization successful. Each does an outstanding job -- often behind-the-scenes
and not recognized -- contributing to their organization’s success.
