Considered a national role model and the region's authoritative voice on affordable housing

Housing Development Consortium is dedicated to helping nonprofit developers create and preserve affordable housing. It promotes and advocates for housing initiatives to advance the availability of affordable housing for low-and moderate-income people throughout King County.

As the region's authoritative voice on affordable housing, HDC works closely with community coalitions and local, county, state and federal governments on funding and legislation that positively impacts the development, preservation and operation of affordable housing.

Affinity groups offer members a way to work collaboratively by focusing on specific issues to share best practices, develop policies and recommend solutions.

HDC's public relations efforts raise the awareness about who develops affordable housing, what it is, who lives in it and its positive impact on communities. Education through community outreach and marketing defines our public awareness objectives.
